I don’t get them every year only when it’s time for me to upgrade.
Idk about you lot but I make my mobile phones last - 4 maybe 5 years. I'm not maniacal about it. I get hand me downs from my brother who upgrades every year.

People came to town in their old-timers to have a good time driving out mountain passes.
The mountains, the altitude, the trees, the lakes, the wolves, golden eagles, ibex, chamois, marmots, bushy tailed squirrels and coal tits, the mushrooms that could kill you and the ones that don't, the clean and thin air, the trails, the sheep, the horses and cows, the cow bells and church bells have a way of healing people. It's why some of us chose to live here.
In the end, you still make sure you go home to people you love. That includes yourself.

It's starting to look like autumn. My favourite season. In some parts, the cows give it that autumn vibe.
Cancel going to the event but maybe not cancel the trip to Japan. I'd just roam around and eat good food.

I've driven up the coast from San Diego to Seattle. What a drive that was. I was in Jackson Hole, WY two years ago in autumn and it was as beautiful as it gets. There's no place like home but that came pretty close. That area of Yellowstone, Jackson, Wilson.. beautiful country.
