I was about to write something similar. I had a big grill day with a group of friends years ago. They called me and the missus the babies. We were in early 40s and the ranged from mid 50s to early 80s. One of my favourite dinners. Tibet. Middle of nowhere and obviously with our Chinese "guide". It was a big open room with traditional fire in the middle with chimney. Along comes shitty menu for foreigners and I asked if I could have what the locals were eating instead. Along comes big ass chopping board with couple pounds of chunks of slow cooked mutton and a foot long knife stuck into it. Fucking awesome!
