Let's see how it evolves. Generally good people are here, but eventually the less kind people will enter as well. Maybe they will be different here, as the atmosphere is different here.
But I guess, the athmosphere is us. So if we keep the good vibes up, may the others will feel the same, or just give up, and move. Good vibes could be contagious, but maybe not for everyone.
Nowadays not the lack of information is the problem. Rather finding the right information, the one we need.

Why do we need inflation to incentivize people to spend?
It sounds like we want to sell them crapy products that they don't need.
We could just incentivize them by providing better products. But no, we need inflation. Why?

There are different ways with different trade-offs.
If someone says to you "this is the only way", stop for a second, and think about how does this "only option" benefit him.
Look behind these "only options", you might realize this is the "only option" for them to gain something. The "only option" might be different for you. And if you don't take your "only options", and accept what they do, you can be sure, that these will benefit them more, than you. Without wanting bad for you, they will put their own interest in front of you. So if you want your interest to be considered. You have to do it.

Hmmm, how about the following take.
We create alt accounts of popular accounts. We can see their content without opening any other platform.
This could give already a user base to these accounts on nostr, making the switch easier.
Usually the problem is social graph. If we rebuild without them, the switch will be easier.
It is not this easy. But I just wanted to share a different purpose for mirroring content.
Maybe bad idea.
Do we have bots to only publish news from different sources? Seems an easier short-term fix.
Maybe, during signup, we could have a screen, where users select their interests: Cooking, Hiking, blabla....
These interest then could be mapped to hashtags or lists. And these would be automatically added to the user during sign up, so they could get already a prefiltered flow of notes.
Just my 5 cents.
