A new L2 called Spark dropped a few weeks ago, and it instantly blew my mind.
So I went to work. Since then, I’ve built the foundation for a fully web-based, self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning wallet.
Here’s what it can do so far:
1. Send & receive sats instantly
2. Get your own LNURL address (e.g. you@blitz-wallet.com)
3. Pay to Lightning addresses across the network
4. Same clean, updated UI as Blitz mobile

Right now I'm seeing a scenario where you end up with a small balance of ecash and there's no way to get it out of Blitz (that I can see) due to the minimum send amount via lightning.
Possibly in the future. Definitely something I would like to add.
I’d say so since technically you’re “using” the bitcoin. Best would obviously be spending sats directly if a merchant offers it, then buying a gift card from a bitcoin business.

Mostly stability. Some large goals are USDt support, LNURL addresses like misty breez, blitz premium (so it can be sustainable), and adding more app integrations.

One thing I think people forget sometimes is optionality. No one is the same therefore we cannot believe everyone will want the same thing. I think us Bitcoiners sometimes get too caught up thinking everyone is eventually going to think/want the same things as us instead of designing more versatile products to handle more cases.

I think these wallets bring us a new paradigm: to use lightning you dont need to share an utxo with someone else and do channel management. You neither need to go custodial.
Lightning is the routing layer, abstracted from whats the custody model adopted by users transacting.
I love it and think this is the future.
Hoping we will have new different tradeoffs in custody models, like ark, to have new options to manage different amounts in different fees-environment.

What was the last installed version you have?
If it was from a while ago I had the change signatures for the google play store. All you have to do is delete the old app, install the new version and restore your seed.
