Building software that is Bitcoin and Nostr native. Frankie is an anonymous, pay-as-you-go AI Chat. And more offline-first tools coming, check them at https://frankie.tools/ NOA - Nostr Onboarding App - is a multi platform app to onboard pre-nostr users to this wonderland: https://nostr.frankie.tools/

Significant UI revamp for Frankie is on the way. It's ready but I was travelling, got the flu, blocked for over a week... Shit happens.

But ready and will release today or tomorrow.

Next I can focus on many new things: NWC (maybe), my cashu mint (probably), a new Talk mode for Frankie (in the making).

And I also want to help another open source project with Push Notifications and NIP 60...

Also, long term travel booking must be fixed.

But the president and their administration is just one of the many forces in a Republic.

Probably some other force did put Ross to jail. This one have him pardoned.

This opens another long conversation.

Assuming we "agree" and "know" what democratic means and also that it's a good thing, the debate is: if it's not democratic (?) then the people don't count.

This means that billions of people in history, everywhere, never had a say on anything for millenia.

Which I obviously think is not the case.

There is support and consensus in all power structures, regardless how much "democratic" they are.

Leaderism is bad thinking :)

Never was the right time.

Worst crap ever out there, with angular

We got rid of it now. It was the wokeness of programming. Don't touch it :)

But it's not really a single man. For Trump to get in that room with that power and that idea, many people must support it.

Yes there's a "press the red button guy" but without that it's impossible to get anything done.

Ross has been pardoned by the will of the people, in a complex series of events that lead to a single final moment. But we can't negate what did support that moment.

Hey. Thanks for using Frankie!

I am afraid running a model is out of the scope of the project for now. Running such model myself require hardware, skills and maintenance time that goes beyond my capacity.

I would love to add Claude and other hosted models, but also that is not my top priority.

Well i use sublime all the time, it's just natural.

But I'll check it out for android. Assuming it works with git / github...

ideally this note should have a NIP-53 event attached for the time and date, a notify me button courtesy of primal or whatever other client, and once clicked, opened with zap.stream or another nip53 client.

like this I am afraid we're still at the level of a piece of paper handed to you on the street.

so much to build 😉

All comments on this thread failed to suggest a decent note-taking app that isn't super convoluted.

I used Telegram as a way to quick jot notes for future use, reminders and whatnot, but I am trying to move out of that, so I started using https://simplenote.com/, but what a weird app. It logs me out if I don't use it for like 2 days, I don't like the fact that it has these titles because I don't need titles, I just need a place to paste content, and also it's not chronological like Telegram messages but also I can't reorder the notes as I wish, they are shown by most recent updated first, which is weird.

Anyway, all of that was ok if it wasn't for the weird syncing issues that started to happen recently: it takes sometimes hours for updates made in one device to be synced to other devices, I don't know, it looks like their server is broken or something.

I don't know why I'm writing this note anymore, but I think we could easily have a note-taking app with private notes writing to private relays on Nostr.

the best note-taking app simply does not exists.

I use telegram as well then consolidate on markdown files with Sublime + Git, where I also keep journals.

2 sat/vB.

Does anyone remember when some 50 years ago people did panic for Ordinals?

Yes, it would. That's how I started building it. As a tutorial.

But, there are many buts.

1. It breaks the UX flow.

2. Another app to install from a store people don't have

3. No way to automatically trigger creation of keys. I should use text + images to explain people.

That's lots of friction, lots of churn (people leaving, bored or scared)

Then:

4. Amber is android only. Noa is multi platform tech already running web, android and Linux, with some help would work on Windows and apple platforms.

5. Amber is working on softening the UX but its core audience always has been nostr early adopters. For good reasons. Noa target is a pre-nostr human.

6. Finally I started to play with multi platform tech and nostr and then It became something usable. :) so I just kept going.

I mostly want to collect ideas and feedback as onboarding is number one priority for me.

I want also to help people put coins to zap somewhere.

The way to 1M users requires many attempts many failures and to dumb things down a lot.

The Saturday afternoon "fun and resting" task is going to he about relays.

Because i don't understand how to pick them, no client is really explaining anything, no watch tool is satisfying and I want NOA to be able to send/receive messages.
