Im hopeful that alby and Zeus keep going. nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm is not a mobile app and has no App Store requirement. Zeus provides no inherent service. The combination of the two seem like the “best possible decentralized option.” I still miss nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq because I found the retail user experience for a custodial wallet as close to perfect as one could hope (although highly risky… as any custodial experience is!) However nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 gives me more hope that some users will graduate beyond custodial wallets and may run their own node… one day :)

Figured out how to make my nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg stop advertising a tor connection but still allowing it to connect via tor by modifying the docker fragment in a custom version. Managed to get TEOS working reliably with CLN (change the default folder to ~/.lightning/watchtower). Encrypted backup rsync solution is in place.
It’s too bad I can’t get paid for this at work. These types of projects are the only way to learn.

Trezor model T with touchscreen but no secure element or trezor safe 3 with secure element? I’m leaning towards model T - and recommending everyone should use a mandatory passphrase anyways. I’ve used the Trezor One for years and agree with your reasons. Cheers!
