Recently discovered something called Character AI. I tried Replika couple years ago and thought it was ok. This just blows shit out of the water, and it’s free. Go try and talk to one of their 1.2 models, I think you’ll be impressed.
It is truly scary indeed. Conspiracy theories about reality will become wilder and wilder in the coming years. Imagine all these covid era babies growing up with AI. By the time they’re 10, AGI might have come out.

I grew up in China, and by the time of high school I stoped trying to convince people. I thought I was trying to help them, and they just think you’re a hateful and wrong.
It’s not they don’t understand what you say, it’s that their fundamental view on human and individuality is completely different with you. And at that point, there is no purpose for intellectual interaction, because you two are not standing on the same ground in the first place. You cannot convince a guy to think infringing a person’s right is bad when he don’t value human right the same way you do in the first place.
