Isn’t this the kind of thing that’s not worth being concerned about? The protocol itself is resilient. This is a failure of a client and the choices of its development.
If this is a problem for end users, there’s a lot of other (better) options in terms of clients.
It’s the kind of problem that should be solved by voting with your feet.
