Blows my mind that house price appreciation (supposedly low risk) is ~inline with equity markets, commonly know as ‘risk assets’. When house price appreciation exceeds earnings growth at what point does a house become a toxic liability? How long until the government steps in and attempts to prop up this charade with further house-of-cards debt?
Why the love? What’s the value? Edgy confrontational socials which offer little value probably reflective of something.
Great idea or terrible? Who knows? Take away my ISP monthly cost, and web ads (hell, even get rid of web ads) and you may be on to something. Wonder what the inflection point would be for an ad-less experience? Doubt this would ever be sustainable as if it because the norm it’ll only be a matter of time before sats-to/view WITH ads thrown back in returns… sigh.
Nostr would be a cool option. On the WBD pod recently they were talking about such functionality, including a few names of some teams looking at just that. Digital only.
How about in the printed version an option to send some sats which contributes to some fund which is used to gift the book others? Academic institutions, LEDCs etc?
Never heard of an MA price for pay but like the idea. How would that be operational efficient / feasible? I would think the vast majority of people getting paid in BTC would be spot at a specific non disclosed execution time via an otc deal (the whole eligible company at once).
Steady boys…
Here we are, the privileged, talking about 25bps when russia smashes through a 350bp hike and Argentina devalues it’s currency by nearly 18%… what a world.

Which single movie would have been better over two, and which trilogy would have been better condensed into the duo?
I’m surprised there isn’t a more well known established service for this.

What a find! I’ve always felt that Tron is an under invested in universe. Lots of potential and a unique nerdy audience to capitalise on where there isn’t much like it to date.
This is pretty cool. I’m surprised that trad marketing hasn’t already got this covered in cola adverts and similar.
Where are the traditional news desks on Nostr? Coindesk et al. Am I missing something or no representation?
I think Nostr adoption could be significantly boosted by integration into CEX platforms as a sort of news/timeline feed. Posts from respected and consistent users would be essential, but there would also need to be users who are getting trade ideas and standard macro out there. Who can provide the content whilst I push for the integration?
"You had to live – did live, from habit that became instinct – in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every moment scrutinized."
Dude writes about this shit in 1949, receives critical acclaim, and then society walks right into it anyway. Think about this a lot, pretty sure it was unavoidable. Freedom tech provides solutions but there will be many painful repercussions of slavery tech before most realize the need.

Do you think worldcoin would have received nearly as much press if Altman wasn’t associated with the project?
