I wrote the following years ago and am sharing this in memory of my stepfather who passed away a year ago today.

“A wise man told me he will never complain. Because he has done things in his life that most people only dream of doing. My stepfather has lived an exciting life. My favorite part of his stories is how he flew planes in the Air Force. One of his flights took him up to 60,000 feet. That's high enough to see the curvature of the Earth. What am I getting at? Don't complain. You can fly that high if you want to. But you're wasting time complaining about your circumstances instead of making the moves necessary to take you from the ground to the sky. Go create the life you want so you can look back many years from now and say that you will never complain because you have done things most people only dream of doing. Seek your legacy and inspire the next generation.”
