Hey guys I registered for nostriga last month and yesterday was supposed to be the day we get our tickets but still nothing in my DM. Did you guys get yours? Can I contact some people to get mine? Plane and hotel are booked I'd love to get my event pass to finalize the trip. #nostriga #asknostr

shouldn’t there be if web3 is to be sustainable?

what are sustainable business models for clients? do any clients make profits? very curious of how the economy works in a FOSS culture.

booked my trip to riga, happy to meet you guys there! #nostriga

thanks again for a swift and precise answer šŸ™ the challenge i see is that hashtags are open, there’s a LOT of them. how can a client curate then, and are closed lists a possible thing to achieve in nostr? the opportunity i see with badges is they can achieve that (client gives closed list of category badges to users > users select categories to show on profile). very non-tech and very new to nostr, maybe i see it all wrong!

thanks so much for taking the time to explain šŸ™ am i understanding that as a user i can create badges and award them to others (and myself?), and choose which awarded badges to show and hide on my profile.

could the usecase be something like that or is there a better way to achieve this in nostr / definitely not the way badges should be used: as a client i create ā€œcategory badgesā€ and let users choose theirs within the client closed list so they can then filter nostr content and get found more easily according to the selected badges.

ty but it doesn't say much!

where can i find resources explaining how badges NIP-58 works and how a client can use them? i don’t understand tech so github is not of much help and i couldn’t find info otherwisešŸ˜• #asknostr #nips #nostrdesign nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac

i see lots of clients offering QRcode scanning features for npub and ligtning addresses. how often do you use it VS copy-pasting? #asknostr #nostrdesign

from far my biggest struggle as i came into the ecosystem. as a user i want to do stuff on my phone, and find it when i later connect from my laptop. primal is the only crossplatform reliable client to my knowledge. big nostr challenge it seems.

thank you SO MUCH for the feedback and the zap! when i tell my friends i made a buck in bitcoin they’re gonna shit their pants (you’re my first >1$ zap <3).

makes total sense, i agree all lowercase is harder on the brain. will change! i only have desktop for now as i’m still focusing on the content.

i’ll ping you when i have a more polished version of it dor sure! have a great day

they’re great resources and i’ve been building an understanding of the whole protocol and ecosystem. i still think my dumb friends would find it too effort-demanding to give it a try. still very documentation/wiki oriented with tehy words;

i’m working on an alternative way of onboarding muggles: with visuals, step by step, and simplistic words. the goal is to not scare them away.

it’s still very much in progress but i would love for you to have a look at it and help me refine it! https://w3.do/fZUrWQrs

why don’t we create a nostr framework in javascript so that devs can just play with the lib?

hey i’m working on an onboarding guide to help normies get on nostr. ANY feedback, correction, insult is welcome and appreciated, please do them, i love dm. desktop only it’s still work in progress. https://w3.do/fZUrWQrs
