On the other hand, he'll spend three weeks writing the worlds shittiest json parser. There is no reason on gods green earth to write your own json parser.
if I can't control the protocol/format/whatever, and it's not simple and unchanging, I ain't writing my own library. fuck having a perpetual maintenance problem because someone else can't leave the standard alone
