important interview to get the background on why the Samourai Wallet case matters, and how we can change policy for bitcoin's future
Electrical utilities are providing next-generation solutions for nuclear energy, SMRs, gas, and the transition away from coal
Suing them for “climate change” won’t deliver change, but will make energy customers worse off — me on Spectrum News’ Capital Tonight
If you care about the future of nuclear energy, bitcoin mining, and cheap, abundant energy, you should care about the baseless "climate change" lawsuit against Duke Energy in North Carolina.
My breakdown of the case and why it's a bad deal for energy consumers in the Carolina Journal:

Many Bitcoiners don't wanna hear it, but Roger Ver's fight is also your fight.
The government doesn't care about which coin or token you shill or block size.
They are using the force of the judicial system and police power to arrest, detain, and jail someone because they believe he cheated his taxes.
Roger doesn't help his case by pumping his book and theories about small blocks (and saying that's why the USG is targeting him), but it's essentially a question of whether you believe the state should have the power it's wielding in this case.
Until we successfully restore financial privacy, any one of us could end up in his position.

Morning views from Hamburg 🇩🇪
Watching a German political roundtable show in my hotel in Hamburg and, man, do they misunderstand so much of Trump’s politics and the American political system.
…as if they get all their US news from a google-translated version of NYT’s opinion page
Even the conservatives!

The (solar) green energy lobby teams up with plaintiff attorneys to sue Duke Energy, one of the nuclear energy champions of the southeast, for their role in climate change.
It's consumers who will lose when their energy bills go up and a transition to nuclear is thwarted

btw, for Americans, one way to reduce your attack vector for fiat purchases
revealed by the House Weaponization Subcommittee:
The FBI uses Bank Secrecy Act to pressures banks, bitcoin exchanges, etc. to file as many Suspicious Activity Reports as possible with sensitive KYC/AML info to build a YUGE database of private finance data
All without warrants!
We're going to absolutely demolish these KYC/AML procedures.

So you were one of the dozen people mining bitcoin in 2009?
Okay, that's great to know! In normieland, I've just seen so many people buy their first bitcoin on robinhood (along with a few others that happen to have green arrows :/ )
And yes, bought a bitkey for review and it's a very smooth device that abstracts away a few elements and has good UX.
Would love to see any battle testing that folks could do on it to really see how it stands up on privacy, security, etc.
Klassiker!
