All views are my own. Tech finance manager, Bitcoin believer.

My Linux desktop is dying and I don’t have the time to build another anymore. What do you recommend? Cyberpowerpc, Build Redux? I’m happy to buy a windows gaming PC and load Linux.

I agree this is most powerful. We always subconsciously find our perceived peers more convincing. To reach different groups people within that group are always the ideal ambassadors.

There’s a significant chance things get worse, not better, after the debt ceiling is raised. The US is running a gigantic deficit and hasn’t been able to issue net new debt for months. So the Treasury will need to raise hundreds of billions very quickly. It isn’t clear there’s enough demand for that much debt that quickly, especially after this debt ceiling debacle. The chances of a failed or nearly failed Treasury auction in the next 1-3 months is the highest it’s ever been. #bitcoin #debtceiling

Here is your ongoing reminder that it is perfectly legal (though of course highly undesirable) for the US to default on its debt. It has before and it has even gone to the supreme court even after the passage of the 14th amendment.

However not raising the debt limit doesn’t mean we default. It just means you have to pick something to cut. Unless you want to tank the entire global economy you cut something besides the debt.

I agree but sadly I believe he’s probably telling the truth when he says their sales aren’t down(just guessing). Lots of noobs seem to not care or truly understand the implications.

To me this emphasized the need for supporting Bitcoin only hardware and companies, and the need for multisig with hardware wallets from different vendors.

Whatever people think of the guy, he’s the champion of getting free or low cost press/attention. This is a perfect example.

Defaults are bad and costly, no denying that. But the USA has defaulted on its debt multiple times in the past. Which exactly qualify as a technical default is hotly debated, but the number is not zero. Example: Is promising gold repayment and then refusing to provide it a default?

However, reporters claiming default has never happened are clueless.

Applause for trying to learn. I’d recommend YouTube for tutorials since I find visuals very helpful. The mempool open source project has their own YouTube channel and they’ve been on podcasts to talk about their work such as with Odell on Citadel Dispatch episode 101.

Boycott Ledger!

Even shitcoiners think ledger is full of it. #ledger

Babies are super underrated. Yeah they wake up at weird hours and cost money, but it’s beautiful and unconditional love 24/7.

Boycott Ledger!!!

The fact that this is even technically possible is a problem. People bought the device BECAUSE they thought that was impossible. It doesn’t matter if this service is optional or not to many (I’d guess most) customers.

Please consider options where the source code is made public, e.g. Coldcard or Trezor.

This is insane. They’ve already had a data breach where they doxxed their customers. Though it seems if you don’t update the firmware you *might* be safe. The whole idea of opening an API to pull out your seed phrase is terrifying, and the exact opposite of what most customers want/expect.

Any podcasters or YouTubers, please help get the word out!!

The sticky core CPI (excluding food and energy) which is often considered to be one of the best predictors of future inflation remains high and does not appear to be meaningfully decreasing. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CORESTICKM159SFRBATL/
