Seems like a valid concern that needs to be addressed. People are already talking about boycotting Swan for the same reason.

Important nuance, I believe Swan’s Bitcoin now custodies with BitGo and their fiat custodies with fortress trust. So the question is do you trust fortress trust with your fiat?

It’s emotionally so hard. I like everyone I’ve encountered who works at the company, but this presents a real risk.

De facto custody with Ripple should be a non starter for bitcoiners. If Swan again has to swap custodians, that would feel like a nail in the head of their business model.

And On-ramp Bitcoin and others. At the very least seems prudent to steer clear until the dust settles. Fortress still seems potentially connected to Prime Trust blowup and bankruptcy proceedings. Overall seems easier to just self custody and steer clear.

Always loved my iPhone but Siri has become almost comically behind compared to other voice assistants and AIs out there. It usually cannot even make a basic reminder or calendar event correctly.

Sad. I feel like regulations such as this show government is often more interested in requiring bureaucratic reporting than actually fixing problems. Laws are more often “file your TPS report” and less often “ensure your citizens have a safe city, state, etc”

imho: Love Rob Hamilton from Anchorwatch’s perspective that we’ve barely scratched the surface on options we already have such as mini script. The huge unknown risk of drive chains is just not worth it when we have so many unexplored options as is.
