All views are my own. Tech finance manager, Bitcoin believer.

I’m not aware of any time limit. Good to treat as somewhat temporary because they occasionally have to upgrade the Cashu ecash mint and since it’s essentially perfectly private they have no way of contacting users - though they try to post to Nostr/social media to give sufficient heads up. I’d follow Calle and gandlaf21 for more

It’s a very different approach based on Cashu(custodial ecash tokens). Upside near perfect privacy and zero fees if remaining in ecash. They can receive lightning zaps while you’re offline then you can redeem and withdraw at normal-ish lightning fees when you come online. Still beta, but an extremely exciting option to explore. Ideal for small amounts as a trade off to custodial risk(which is only temporary if you withdraw when you come online).

you really only need to eventually get a few things right in life to have a great time: spouse and friends are at or near the top

Lmao nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 is such a boss that he goes on blue sky to shill Nostr and argue with normies about Bitcoin.

An easy question to see if people actually care about the environment or if they just want to virtue signal is “do you support nuclear power?”

The day has come! 🫣 For a while, I’ve been looking at the wonderful Bitcoin community, shyly, from the sidelines, supporting people and what they do for Bitcoin.

I thought I had nothing to say, or share with the world.

Then I realized, as a recruiter, that I had spent a fine amount of time daily, talking to job seekers about how they could improve their chances of landing their first Bitcoin-only job, or with the managers, how they could improve their recruiting. So it hit me- I have a lot to share, and I should write it down!

Today, I humbly present you my two ebooks. One is for job seekers in the Bitcoin industry, and another one is for start-ups on how to improve, or build from the ground up, their hiring processes.

I do this for the Bitcoin community, with the hope that we can create a common ground for job seekers and companies to better understand each other. For that reason, these guides are completely free, and no data will be collected.

I want to thank the people who supported me during this project:

I put a lot of love into these guides, so hopefully, you’ll find value in them 💜

great idea, excited to read thru

Haha!! I try to live conjunctivitis free unless forced by the kids

you either have freedom, accept the consequences both great and ugly, and realize that overall its far better though not without cost or you simply decide tyranny is preferrable; its that simple. also epstein was obvious even if you couldnt read his texts and the government did jack shit-they don't care

most long term bitcoiners have given away multiple Opendimes or Satscards in their day, myself included, and most just end up in the trash. Some normies simply won't accept responsibility or even free Bitcoin and find it more comforting to stick with the "narrative" and stay poor

Most underrated way to Orange pill: have everyone download Nunchuk, give them Tapsigners, create a free collaborative multisig, and watch their eyes light up. Don’t at all try to sell, just walk them through the process and let Bitcoin’s properties speak for themselves.

Day 8 of being locked out of fiat accounts: In the fiat system I’m a second class citizen who shouldn’t be able to access his own money because I use Linux, VPNs, secure DNS, and a non chrome based browser. It’s all so tiresome. They say all I have to do is get rid of anything that ensures a secure private connection and use a windows or mac computer.

Bitcoin: still working.

Fiat: increasingly unusable at the best of times with no adversarial conditions.

personally I use Fedora and enjoy that, but imho Ubuntu is fine if you just use flatpaks instead of snaps though I certainly agree that pushing snaps is annoying af

Boycott Vanguard because thousands of customers have been locked out of their accounts for days or weeks, they can’t figure out how to fix it, and they can’t even estimate when they can deploy a fix. Oh and that ETF thing too I guess.

If only there were a self custodial censorship resistant alternative to this fiat insanity.

I just wish more soft fork proposals considered what is best for Bitcoin, not what is best for themselves and their pet project.

The reason we should activate LNHance is that it’s the thoughtful product of long term discussions to incorporate the most desired changes of all the biggest BTC groups such as Lightning symmetry for LN Deve and CTV for base chain boomers. It’s a careful compromise of what people most want versus what is safest and still allows for the clearest upgrade paths in the future.

coinbase is at best a deceptive shitcoin casino, and likely a lurking threat to Bitcoin. big block shills

Phoenix is awesome. They just ship cool new stuff all the time. Happy to see someone go around Lightning Labs while they’re focused on shitcoins

My US presidential voting logic: Trump = raving lunatic - no. Biden = senile octogenarian - no. RFK = awake and coherent - yes. The bar is that low.

Nuclear power is the answer. Love nostr:npub10cxz2h7n6rumfpuf49zt4uvm7skzqk5u25vesp0tzdtnkvsnwjyqaffcj3 ‘s saying “you can’t virtue signal your way out of physics”

I will admit to unfair bias on soft forks, I tend to be dismissive of those that have the loudest support from the JPG brigade. I’ll try to be better about keeping an open mind, but so far I find all of their arguments unconvincing to put it charitably.

Update: nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze is back above 1.2 Eh/s nostr:note1nc3hxz9jqasnuenrq9hj0q45gh2xdaq03f844cyn4hg2rj8uw53spxh2sx

Probably Swan jumping around or TX curtailment

Fair concern. I think those people likely start with an Unchained, On-ramp, or Bitcoin Adviser products where they hold 0 or 1 of 3 keys, can at least audit on chain, and grow and learn from there. Bitcoin has no reverse button so best for some to slowly learn before yoloing in with everything.

I think this is true everywhere and everyone just blithely underestimates how close their entire lives are to being one hack away from permanently fucked. Most people generally have shit personal technology security and knowledge and are an easy SIM swap away from losing everything. Your Twitter account gets stolen and they tweet something racist/whatever and your company fires you immediately and your reputation is ruined permanently derailing your career and life.

Totally fine with the idea and not trying to talk down on anyone. But does anyone genuinely familiar with the Bitcoin community think people are afraid to debate, share their opinions, or argue in general? Truly curious. Look at the recent conversations around lightning, scaling, soft fork proposals, and ordinals and there seems to be nothing but vociferous debate and skepticism.
