I would say that the movies, especially the second one, are technically well implemented, including cinematography, world building, creative use of visual styles as themes, great representation of scale, and more. I would also add that the pacing was great in the second movie.
This is all in addition to the timeless story of Dune, as a meditation on power, heroes, and other aspects of human condition which Herbert explores in the books.
