still shook at how good dune 2 was. I enjoyed it even more than the first.

sounds like a recommendation 😊

reality is more interesting, dude

Now order the books and read this shit whenever you will have a time(I know probably you don’t) But dude is like the hell of the story 😅

I think I may actually get through it now. It was so bizarre with no context when I started reading it a long time ago.

For me the epic part was that the sun ate the warm and was rulling the whole universe. Idk under what influence Frank Herbert’s brain was but the shit he wrote was epic especially when finally they could display it in 2024 I guess how we imagined in the books

I was sitting at the theater watching it the other day and I couldn't help but wonder, do people who haven't read the books actually get 10% of what's going on? There is close to zero explanation of anything.

I watched this hour long video that explained the movies in the context of the book and it made watching it much more enjoyable because I now knew wtf was going on

Greetings from Brazil man, damus is a nice app, have you ever thought about put a mode to translate language on app??

Yes we support automatic translations with damus purple! It’s very expensive to run which is why it requires a subscription.

Also hello 👋 cool to see more Brazilians on here. We are all here because one crazy Brazilian came up with the idea!

Kkkkkk yes, it’s a pity my country is becoming a dictatorship, but the whole the world is seeing this

I think my favorite movie ever be

Imax was amazing

Have you read books? I am debating myself if I should read the books first.

Having read the book first helped me appreciate how well the movies have stayed true to the book, but you could definitely watch the movies first and then read the book for more in-depth story

Hmm feel like the movies were way more action driven and romanticism. In contrast, the books are basically only dialogue about philosophy, morality, and conspiracy. So the characters are way more complex in the book, as well as all of the subplots and conspiracies left out in the film 🍿

However, the visuals were amazing lol

Fully agree, I just think this is inevitable for even the best book to movie adoptions. Same is said about the LOTR books and movies

The film makes Leto, Jessica, and Paul look righteous. However, in the book, it is pretty clear that they are following their own agenda and just use more subtle ways of controlling people to reach their own goals.

I played both, but today is dune 2 rly outdated 😭

i stoped watching dune 1 after 30min. should i give it another try?
