Switching from ledger to coldcard when it arrives. Self generation is the route I want to go. Tips?

You motivated me - I’ll do some research and will make a test wallet using coin flips to generate my seed. What’s a good wallet to do that with? Do I need something from coinkite or are there software wallets I can use?
