'Broken Money' is my new favorite in the 'introduction to Bitcoin' category, even though the first 70% of the content doesn't mention it at all.

Lyn Alden comprehensively guides us through the history of money, meticulously describing how money has evolved over time, including the advantages and disadvantages of each 'iteration,' and who gains or loses from each type under different conditions.

She also addresses a crucial topic: what led to gold, the hard currency, being replaced by fiat money, and how the world ended up in an endless cycle of creating ever-increasing debt.

CORACLE HAS A WEBSITE

(that is actually good)

https://info.coracle.social/

Thanks to Levi Law at https://law-studios.com! He accepts bitcoin too (if you ask nicely)

That's an interesting idea with a branded community platform. I remember

using the Mighty Networks app for a similar purpose, but they did not

have a zap feature to share some satoshis (nor USD) for people giving

interesting advice. So maybe that could be a 'killer feature'?

Guess what everyone, Coracle is getting a redesign! nostr:nprofile1qqs8hhhhhc3dmrje73squpz255ape7t448w86f7ltqemca7m0p99spgpzamhxue69uhky6t5vdhkjmn9wgh8xmmrd9skctcpzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qgcwaehxw309anxjmr5v4ezumn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tchfhljx has put together some 🔥 mockups for me, but before falling down that rabbit hole I wanted to run it by my users and the #nostrdesign community. You can find the Figma below, along with some screenshots as well.

The goal for the re-design is to:

- Make using Coracle friendlier and more intuitive

- Make it look like it wasn't designed by an engineer

- Solve some complex UX issues, like custom feeds, nested modals, forms, etc.

Some questions I currently have:

- Is there too much uppercase text?

- Are the menus intuitive?

- Is it pretty? Is there anything you hate?

It looks really good! I like how the posts and menu are designed.

Here are some thoughts on a few details:

- I'm not sure about having "npub" next to the author's picture in every post. Is it distracting, and does it matter in that spot?

- Should the font for the post author's nickname be a bit bigger? It seems a little too small.

- The rounded corners on the mobile view look a bit strange.

- I prefer the current rounded post button at the bottom.

- Is the search bar at the top too distracting?

Favourite: I like minimalistic design. Least favourite: I'm used to opening new threads in social media websites in new tabs, but by default coracle open them in modals. And some of the posts link previews don't work.

Is there someone using nostr on slow Internet connection? What client do you use? Is it even usable? There is a lot of data to fetch, some people even have 3MB profile pictures

Any idea why I can't see NIP-05 check on my profile? Configuration seems okay for me:
