I dabble with bitcoin, but you don’t need Nostr for that. I would wager that most come for the free speech and stay for the bitcoin even if there isn’t a logical reason to do so.
For me, Nostr is simply a news outlet that I can interactive with without fear of being kicked off because I offended someone’s delicate sensibilities, LMAO.

I hear people using that term a lot, value for value, and it reminds me of YouTubers who want me to like and subscribe before I have even watched the video.
The glaring issue with zaps that no one seems to want to address, you can’t be sure what you’re reading is an honest comment or something they made up to try and gain zaps.
There should be an option on your profile to send you sats directly and not tied to any specific post.
If there truly is “value for value”, you’ll still make just as much as if they were zapping your individual posts, but it will force people to be honest instead of creating content they think people want to see.

Not necessarily. Nostr is about decentralization and censorship resistance, bitcoin just happens to fit both of those very well.
Eventually, people will realize the fediverse is no better than traditional social media when it comes to censorship and they will all eventually move over to here.

You mentioned three other platforms and complained about the lack of knowledge found there. Those three have nothing to do with bitcoin which is why you didn’t find much information there.
The problem with Nostr is, there is no centralized database to keep a FAQ section in. Plenty of people have mentioned and shared links on here, but they are impossible to find, which is why I mentioned the orange pill app.

I almost did, until I found YakiHonne. They seem to be the only team actively creating ways to get their users involved. They have also figured out a way to bring in revenue to the app without having to extort their users for it.
They are also very humble and that means just as much as what the app offers. Their bios don’t read like an attention seeking child, “I made this, this and this”. Cool, Will. Do you want a cookie?
