To be fair, it’s like the incentive of fountain with listening and earning sats. Obviously a different model altogether (business w/ ads).
I could see a system which rewards users for learning, but yes, providing free education and paying people to learn seems ridiculous, should be the other way around.
Investing is stupid easy now. Or just stupid?
Because of debasement of currency + inflation, QE/bailouts, and passive investing, everyone piles into US Stocks. Mainly into the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indices. This has become the store of value for most people.
No matter how bad the news, all you have to do is buy the dip and wait.
Even the “bear” market of 2022, was relatively timid and short.
This will continue to be the easiest way to outperform most active managers, just buy $VOO and $QQQ ($QQQM) and sit back.
It works until it doesn’t, at which point you pivot. So far this has been the play since 2009 and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to change soon.
Only one asset outperforms US stocks, if you’re willing to handle the volatility, and that’s bitcoin. Adding $BTC to your portfolio has never been easier and the long-term performance is stunning.
Sure you can analyze all the fundamentals of every stock you want and chart to your hearts content, but most people are unlikely to outperform the indices over time.
For now just keep it simpl. It’s a better use of your time to focus on what you do best. Earn dollars and put them to work buying hard assets.

I’ve never tested gold. I’ve heard they have a machine to test, not sure what other ways there are and how easy and quickly it is for someone to verify it’s real.

Another problem with gold is when you need to transact, it’s tough to break it off to an exact amount. Also, the other party would have to assume it is in fact gold (unless they walk around with some sort of way to test it).
I think gold is a safe option. Hard to argue with ~5,000 years of history.

I have plenty of those and the conversations can be frustrating just because people are so misinformed.
Few have an open mind and the arguments are weak mostly. Best arguments I hear are the quantum worries, what if US/governments ban it, or it doesn’t have intrinsic value.

Wouldn’t that be similar to how it would work? US marks the btc at $100K let’s say but market continues valuing it at whatever the market buyers dictate.
If it’s a confiscation worry, yes it could eventually happen like it happened to gold but you could argue it’s harder to do so and people with significant wealth can cross borders with ease.
Nothing is perfect, in trying to find as many flaws as I can with BTC. Hard to find many flaws in my humble opinion.
Definitely both. Some are straight up stupid. Others are so programmed from a young age that breaking the pattern is nearly impossible.
It requires a need to change, something dramatic or extreme to break and create a new pattern.
I respect that.
EMPs are pretty localized and for a brief period of time though, right? I don’t know much about EMPs.
Even if all your electronics became permanently disabled, you’d still have your seed phrase you can restore from.
