I sell lights @ apogeehouse.com, an architectural lighting, fans, & controls distributor. Fan of financial markets, tech & BBQ. Always learning. Using nostr to share what I have learned. Nothing I say is financial or medical advice. Assume everything I say is wrong. Do your own research.

How great is it when you reach for something without looking and it’s actually there?

Imagine thinking this is a flex. 🤦‍♂️

“This Atlanta Fed prediction is because of a sharp increase in gold imports and American businesses front running tariffs. The U.S. economy IS NOT experiencing -2.4% GDP this quarter, but GDP could be 0.5%-1.0% (much lower than the last 2 years)”.

I like that idea.

Do you mean there’s a “Communities” section in nostr apps (haven’t seen it on Damus/nostur/primal), the ability to discover existing communities?

Very true. Even though Nostr and BTC are inherently linked, not everyone is going to care about BTC content (although they might want the zaps lol).

It’s going to be tough to get non-BTC people to make the jump unless they are forced (censored/cancelled/banned) by the platform or country.

I still have high hopes it will take off!

I think Sooly is just referring to folks on nostr, not that the NYDIG post is about nostr itself.

Like saying “What does everyone on Nostr think?” At least that’s how I read it.

Phong Le explains why and how finance is taught in business schools with refreshing honesty.

Corporate incentive favors themselves (usually with M&A), not investors or shareholders. Bitcoin helps shift that mindset.

Watch the full interview with Tim Kotzman – it's great.

One of the hardest parts of business is prospecting, the endless search for leads.

What makes it difficult is the time it takes to qualify the perfect lead for your product or solution and personalize.

The effort is worthwhile. Anyone can mass email, but the results are meh.

Anyone on #nostr dedicated to sales and prospecting/lead gen?

Understandable.

I guess I’ve talked to many people which have most of their retirement in a “traditional” portfolio and at the sound of any negative news from cnbc they will sell (or vice versa).

They think that is investing.

I can only imagine how many people are out there getting destroyed acting on these market tips.

That’s why I feel bad, but like you, I remember they should know better.

I would agree with this.

Selling is fine IF you understand why, not just because the market is in a panic.

I worry more about folks dumping their brokerage/retirement portfolio just because Jim Cramer said so.

Lots of people worried about the market dip.

If you did your homework and know what you own, these are opportunities to buy. Definitely not the time to sell.

If you are too worried, your position sizing is wrong.

Think long-term and you’ll beat almost every investor. Trade short term and you’re likely to end up in a worse position

Embrace the chaos. These are the moments you’ll look back on and laugh about.

Does anyone have any tips on generating quality leads with AI?

Any prompts which have made it easier to find niche specific contact information (including emails)?

Scraping?

Looking for different ideas to automate the process and be more efficient.

GM!

I'd just like to say there are too many people out there staring at charts and the price of bitcoin. Wondering if Friday's meeting will rocket bitcoin's price. If the strategic reserve is only Bitcoin or will include some other mix of tokens.

It can get exhausting.

Focus on the long-term. Disconnect and go do something productive.

Bitcoin will still be there when you get back.

I saw the news yesterday actually, it’s great!

It seems like it’s purely voluntary now and will likely get thrown out soon. I hope at least!

I read it as 6-12 months of pain for economy and average folks before QE/loosing financial conditions.

Maybe, ha!

Curious about companies with maybe sales positions or similar roles.

Seems like most gigs are for developers.
