For such a ‘hard’ money it’s weird how there’s always more found when the price goes up.

I just spoke to a friend who is relatively high up in Canadian tax office. He’s very worried about the tax they’re losing from bitcoin and crypto holders. One of the plans they have is tracking hard wallets bought on Amazon and other open sites and auditing those people assuming they’ve got untaxed bitcoin. I thought this was nuts and don’t think it’ll work but it is a serious option they’re looking at. They’re actually pro crypto but angry as they see this as tax avoidance.
opinions?
I think people forget the bodies literally piling up on the streets in India and so many other countries before the vaccine was available. I know it’s unpopular but it’s true.
Actually quite interesting. But at one point Andre was talking about people having to verify their tweets/statements on a blockchain so we know what’s true and what’s AI. Didn’t mention it already exists in nostr!! Missed a great chance. But I enjoyed it.
Am listening right now. Joe talking much more than Andreessen at the moment. It’s Ok.
They just take turns at bombing poor brown people. That way everyone gets a chance to have fun.
They just take turns at printing money. That way everyone is happy.
I’m 100% sure he’s stacking on the side.

Strangely useful.
Exactly this!!! Everyone and I mean everyone. Every politician, every media outlet, every social media censor, every single voice out there is trying desperately to ignore this. It’s not going away and it’s going to topple governments.
My friend who is in the financial industry just called bitcoin a “speculative asset” 🤦🏻♂️
In my view, that’s exactly right. The state as envisioned was there to facilitate the wishes of small communities which came together to defend what is theirs. What it’s become is an independent entity which has an agenda of its own.
When individuals came together to form a society they gave up a little bit of their freedom to the state which would
1. Govern their collective value in the form of money against counterfeit and debasement and
2. Defend and enforce an individuals property rights against other states and internal robbery via police and army.
It was the individuals rights that are meant to be defended by the state. Now it’s reversed and the state enforces its mandates on the individual through violence.
Palestine is the ultimate expression of state violence against private property. This is what bitcoin is supposed to solve. As bitcoiners we can’t bury our heads in the sand anymore.
