So this just crossed our news feeds. This is where we vacationed last week. Not necessarily the exact beach, but same general area. They had the water closed for most of our trip. One day the water was open, then they closed it and the lifeguard on duty told us “too many people had drowned.” We questioned among our group if that meant deaths or rescues, unfortunately this article would imply deaths. 11 people in 2 weeks is crazy.
