If my experience is any indicator, problematic people from your past who have lost their hold on you, will say and do some really crazy things just to get a reaction out of you. Any reaction. Doesn’t matter how crazy they act or whether your reaction is positive or negative. It’s their sad way of trying to regain some sort of power over you even if it’s only in their minds. If I ever responded in even a small way, it was all the permission they thought they needed to worm their way back into wrecking my life. The only thing that has worked for me in such a situation is to ignore them and don’t respond or react in any way.

The current liberal left is made up or total maggot shit fuckin scum.

"Why Burning Man attendees struggling with flooding sparked such joy

Normally 70,000 people being stranded in the middle of the desert would have been very concerning. This time though? Not so much."

I only know two Burners and they both seemed to have a great time. I don’t think the rain fazed them much since they are like some folks who attend a duck farm and have to be encouraged to go home no matter what happens.

Really? More than half of the folks who I know grow and eat their own beef seeds are women. I’m noshing on some of the recent batch out of my dehydrator which is about 8lbs of beef jerky. I’m learning to cook & eat wheat I shoot- beef is still a big part of my diet. How accurate are the things people say in polls anyway? And, how accurate is the spin (rhetorical question here) put on data from said polls?

Like that meme says “those are rookie numbers.” nostr:note1rntnrfg82qpku9wnegaxp4lxy8wv087wf0mtatx0jdc2uw88xdpqw98v83

Well, another hurricane’s gone through and I’m still here. Been lucky so far. Still got some big blows coming through now and then. I spent a long time just sitting on my porch swing with my coffee & letting the wind push the swing while it woo-ed through the screen door and watched the weather happen. Gonna drive around and spectate like all the folks that aren’t too scared to step outside, then the big cleanup begins. Lost count of how many hurricanes/tropical storms I’ve ridden out now but they’re all so different. That’s something few speak about. And all of them have been way different that what you see on tv- but most folks here on Nostr know how that is with most anything these days. MSM serves its own ends and reality isn’t so much a priority- if it ever was.

For the time being, check hands/feet/appendages since AI has a distinct problem with rendering them accurately- or leaves parts out completely. It seems to prioritize faces for points of interest and the farther away, the less accurate it is. For now.

Because they literally own their citizens. Suicide steals the value of your labor from them. The family of whoever commits suicide is held liable for paying the state back for the labor value lost.

Pardon the repeat of the same thing on MeWe but I got an answer to the question on meat slicers. Friend who lived in the restaurant world suggested a 12” rather than 10” blade if it’s going to be used a lot. First choice is to find a good big used commercial one from a restaurant sale, but for new, he said the Vevor brand is good. He suggested getting one with a built in blade sharpener and a spare blade is a good idea.

So tidy! I just ran a batch of “orange blossom special” and bottled it this morning and it looks like my kitchen exploded with brewing mess.

I think there’s merit in considering this point even if it’s “uncomfortable” with the folks who are on the bootstrap/content entrepreneur bandwagon side. I can only get a good idea of such things from people I know in real life, and very few fit this trope of all it takes is grit and hard work. Yes it requires it, but that’s no guarantee. It’s not helpful that the overwhelming majority of those who give it their all and fail, self select out of the data because they simple are not visible. Unfortunately too many of the people I personally know, outright lie about their “success” because it’s nearly impossible to prove otherwise online. There’s a whole industry out there to buy influencer status. You can buy everything you need- followers, downloads, comments, views, shares, etc. Fewer than one quarter of one percent of YouTube creators make more than $50 a month. Not well known since you gotta dig for that sort of data. The few more successful folks I know enough about firsthand, have gotten a big step in content creatorship mainly by being early into their respective platforms and shoveling tons of content out there before even knowing if any of it will get a return. Jack’s said quite a bit about that. It’s not a popular point but luck definitely figures into it too.

I’d really like to figure out how to share photos of such things I make here- so far I think my devices are too old for the tech. As for selling them, I did do an experiment on putting some images of them on RedBubble to see if they would work. The quality is so-so for print on demand, but as you’d probably guess, not anywhere near as nice as the real thing. I do have some videos on my YouTube channel- Art By Leigh Murphy that shows some tours of a few of my handmade sketchbooks that I filled up. Ideally I’d like to make limited editions of the books. Each one I completed has a theme. “Acta Hortus” is one that took me 3 years and 398 illustrations to do. I have a video up that shows that one.

Love seeing stuff like this. I do my own binding of my journals and sketchbooks. I even do the marbled paper for covers and endpapers. While mine don’t take anywhere near as long to produce, they take way longer to fill up!

Wow. Just, wow. nostr:note13cn3easzew6nr8juprpg0ucepp5mg8uxcuwgh32g5krkdcdwtsuq4z2n4u
