Anyways - thanks for sharing your thoughts unfiltered it was quite refreshing to read!
IDK if randomly jumping into a thread I’m not a part of is cool, but being new to the platform I searched relay and this was one of the results and it’s so interesting! It prompted me to think about how it’s kinda strange/ironic how little connecting with new people, building relationships and being social has become on social media - at least in my own experience.
But it also presents the opportunity to do something different if that experience applies to a lot of people and not just me. If social media is the main way people get, view or interact with information, then any sort of expert in a certain field is helpful, but we also don’t want to create a “digital caste system” with social media that kinda reminds me of that 2016 Black Mirror episode “Nosedive”.
What’s a relay?

That is such excellent feedback and I’m so appreciative! Thank you! I’d definitely be interested in that 🙏
I’m looking to make a career change and wrote this today…thought maybe I should try to get some unbiased feedback before sending it to potential employers, any suggestions or guidance is much appreciated!

Without confidence, they lacked victory.”

Anyone interested in doing a fun - is there a Spaces equivalent on this? - where we utilize the Socratic dialogue framework to see if we can find any new and exciting answers or solutions on how to solve difficult and complex problems?
I’m not sure if this a proper application, but I’m very interested in discussing how to solve homelessness in San Francisco or at least improve it and am looking for someone to discuss with :)
So after the question mark it’s tracking..did not know this…good to know. Thank you!
If the heart actually creates an electromagnetic field and that isn’t pseudoscience, Frozen by Madonna is actually super wise (as well as just awesome) https://youtu.be/XS088Opj9o0?si=RZycun6dMgIqGFl8
What turned Anikan Skywalker into Darth Vader? Hurt, fear, manipulation by others, confusion, ego, desire for power, chaos, and not feeling a part of.
What turned Darth Vader back into Anakin Skywalker when he sacrificed his life to save his son? Love. A higher calling. Something worth dying for. Purpose. Redemption. Forgiveness. Acceptance.
Do you ever feel like sometimes movies and shows and books repeat certain themes - perhaps unconsciously pulled from the collective unconscious - and is actually showing us profound truths and lessons?
Heard something interesting today. In the past, one of the most important and powerful jobs a human could have was a newspaper editor.
Lenin, before he was dictator of the Soviet Union, was editor of a newspaper. Mussolini, before he was dictator of Italy, he was editor of a newspaper.
Now the most important editors in the world are algorithms - algorithms that determine what the people see. And I’m all for efficiency, but how are those algorithms shaping our culture and beliefs as a society?
Yeah, pushing the fear, hate, anger button can get engagement - Ive certainly fallen for it - but do you know what gets even better engagement? Love, curiosity, inspiration, passion…I found this flyer of Apple from High School - maybe this approach can get results too while also helping to create a society more aligned to who we truly are and what we really want.
Aw! Yeah the people who really made a difference in my life made me feel special or understood or believed in me. Idk i wonder if by believing the best in others we can bring out the best in them is at the core of it, but maybe it’s naive 🤷♀️
I wonder if there’s any truth to Goethe’s quote “if we treat people as they are, we make them worse, if we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.”
One time I met a young girl who looked up to me for some peculiar reason, and she made me a card that said “I believe in you”. And not only was it really nice, it was like I wanted to be who she saw I could be - if that makes any sense.
wonder how the world would change if everyone believed in themselves and in each other

I surmise that the power of the human mind in every single being is both terrifyingly and excitingly powerful - yes life is much more than just your perspective or your thoughts, but lately I’ve been thinking - why choose destructive thoughts that drag you down when it’s just as easy to choose constructive thoughts that lift you up? And if you can change how you feel by changing what you are thinking about, thought discipline may be the most important and undertaught skill in the world.
“If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who THINKS he CAN!”
