This. As a software dev of open protocols, I can say, the code doesn't mean shit if you don't have a healthy ecosystem and passionate community like #nostr has. This is a beautiful revolution.

Well you don't need hardware to self custody. Blockstream Green wallet is a great software self custody solution on mobile. Spectre, Sparrrow, Electrum are all great on PC

And use a strong fucking password. If you find yourself in this situation, attackers can employ a password cracker on your wallet. If you don't have a strong password, they'll crack it and get the other 90% in minutes.
