Hmm, I can't figure out how to use Jade with BlueWallet. Will have to explore this later. Thanks!

Good choice. I would like to use a mobile/android wallet if possible
Yeah, my problem is with the Green Wallet on android asking for Bluetooth permissions
nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n, why does Green Wallet insist on Bluetooth permissions? I want to use my #Jade in air gap.
Bring back the guillotine.

Today's small act to defy the banks:
I tipped a large amount of cash for a nice dinner, giving the server the choice to report as much or little of that tip as he wanted. His choice, not the banks'/feds'/IRS's.

Not sure I follow. Was just pointing out that Bitcoiners actually don't want free electricity, as I thought your OP suggested. Either way, I know this isn't a serious debate, haha 🤙
You're right that cost of hardware plays some role in the security, but only according to the ammortized cost over the usable lifespan of the hardware. As ASICs tend to be usable for longer and longer, that ammortized cost is dimminishing.
From a game theory perspective, Bitcoin's security comes almost entirely from the electricity cost to run the ASICs. If that cost goes to zero, Bitcoin's security would follow.
Because they're easier to swallow
If you had shirts printed, with their Bitcoin donation address, I'd buy one:
I've been diving into the protocol differences between Matrix and XMPP, and I'm a bit surprised. The high level takeaways I see are:
Matrix:
+ bridge integration to lots of protocols
+ more popular amongst the new kids?
- more CPU, RAM, and network requirements
- centralized dev corporation
- centralized metadata honeypot
- only a handful clients
- only one reliable server implementation
- JavaScript everywhere
- chat rooms work by synchronizing conversation state, which is very expensive
XMPP:
+ more bots plugins
+ very efficient and resource friendly
+ more battle tested / stable
+ decentralized development
+ many many clients with good feature compatibility
+ easy to avoid javascript
+ no metadata honeypots
- older and less popular
- no marketing team to convince the script kiddies to use it?
Why don't Matrix users use XMPP? It seems better in almost every way.

The dollar is and always will be shit... I didn't say it wouldnt be.
If electricity is free, Bitcoin will also be shit. The protocol literally doesn't work if electricity is free.
If electricity were free, then what would secure Bitcoin? Bitcoin is secure because its expensive to spend the electricity to mine a block.
