nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z there are weird text input bugs that've existed in #amethyst for a long time, but it manifests in different ways every time. I'll list a few below:

Any time I type a colon after a word and hit enter, amethyst duplicates the word again on a new line. e.g. trying to type 'hello world:' results in:

'hello world:

world:'

Also, any time I try to type L1, the text is immediately substituted for L1L. This one is particularly weird, because it doesn't behave like any other text substitution/correction in other apps.

My notes are littered with typo's from these bugs, and although my mind is getting better at detecting and fixing them, they're surprisingly annoying, lol. I'm curious if anyone's reported this?

I'm on a Pixel 7, running Graphene OS.

(P.S. typing examples of these typos was incredibly difficult, because Amethyst kept text subsituting from underneath me 😅)

Jeeeezus man, he was just coming over to ask how you take your coffee 😂

I'm curious about the FedEx vs USPS placement.

All I know is that FedEx willingly complies with search and seizure of assets, while USPS has felony charges for anyone who interferes with your package. I question the logic of putting FedEx in the 'based' group

What that have to do with fractional reserve lending? If anything, that practice is more profitable with a deflationary asset

Banks will. WalletOfSatoshi is already showing us how corrupt banking will exist on the bitcoin standard just as corrupt banking exists on the fiat standard.

I got several back when I was into Monero mining. Now I just use them as worldclass servers for self-hosted tools... Come at my Nextcloud instance, bro 🤣

nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 I love the OpenDime. Recently #satscard has been pushed as a superior version of OpenDime, and in many ways I agree, but there is one crucial feature of the OpenDime I'd love if you could find a way to being to the cold card: physical unlock only.

With SatsCard I still have to trust my phone/laptop software not to leak my unlock PIN. I know this may sound silly, but having to physically punch out a resistor makes it so I NEVER trust any software outside of the OpenDime firmware.

I'm an EE & smartcard dev, so I know this is a tall order, but do you think you could get a card vendor to produce a card with a hole punch spot like the OpenDime? Depending your vendor, this is possible, but it probably requires a large purchase commitment.

Also.... opensourcing the applet would be hugely appreciated for those of us who like to audit every possible level of our coin control stack.

Find a way to bring* to the satscard*

Does $42,000,000 #Bitcoin       sound stupid to you?

I thought the same thing until I considered that #BTC       has all the characteristics of money.

It will cripple the stock market and real estate values.

Why?

Bitcoin is the first ever asset that can be used as a medium of exchange, unit of account, and store of value.

We used gold as money for thousands of years. It was very hard to manipulate the supply of gold, so it remained valuable for a long time.

The problem with gold was always that it wasn't portable and divisible.

Government-issued currencies disrupted gold because they were easy to transact with.

Real estate and stocks became a great way to store value because government-issued currencies aren't real money; they can be printed at will.

And now I can't stop thinking about how Bitcoin will absorb ALL MONETARY VALUE.

Bitcoin is digital gold - it combines the portability and divisibility of digital money we use today with the scarcity of physical gold.

It's the only asset that's ever been able to do this.

At today's prices, Bitcoin is a steal when compared to the values of all assets and commodities in the global economy.

Buying 1 BTC means you are buying 1/21,000,000 of the world's money supply, forever.

This means you own 0.0000000047619% of the supply of the world economy's coupons representing value.

The value of all monetary assets today is $900 TRILLION. 0.0000000047619% of $900T is $42,000,000.

The thing that's impossible to consider here is that Bitcoin is scarce while everything else is abundant.

You can build more houses.

You can mine more gold.

You can issue more stocks.

But you can't create more Bitcoin, no matter how hard you try.

If there's only 1 BTC available to buy in the global economy, how much will the world's elite pay for it?

These amounts will eventually be so insanely high that only 1 BTC will be able to represent the value of 1 BTC.

The world's entrepreneurs will be fighting to create value because that's the only way they'll be able to get more BTC.

All monetary value will eventually collapse into Bitcoin. We will see a $1,000,000 BTC, then a $10,000,000 BTC, then a $42,000,000+ BTC.

Don't believe me?

I don't care.

Learn how Bitcoin works, or just keep waiting for things to unfold.

> until I considered that #BTC has all the characteristics of money.

Does it though? Bitcoin is not fungible, which is a necessary property to become money.

This is dope. Where'd you find this?

Holy shit my mouth is watering. Is this Shenzhen?

You're not using Bitcoin or lightning. You're using a banking app for your WoS bank account. Live up to your tattoo and actually use Bitcoin instead of larping with a bank account.
