IMO Whonix has better anonymity tools, so if you seek extreme anonymity for your activity, the better choice may be to dedicate a Whonix laptop to that activity, and exclusively use that laptop for that activity.
Qubes is good for using one computer to satisfy multiple threat profiles. E.g. if you want to shitpost on Facebook, visit shady websites, and ghostwriting for a controversial magazine _all without linking those three activities_, then Qubes is the OS for you.
If you want to dedicate one laptop to a very specific anonymous activity (e.g. being a ghostwriter for a controversial magazine) _and nothing else_, Whonix is the OS for you.
Bitcoin Magazine does a WAY better job explaining why this is a problem you shouldn't just shrug away. Hope you give it a read.
Relays running on CloudFare, check your Tor config.

It is common to see the relay operational through a known Tor agent while at the same time sending 403s when clients try to connect.

Tell me more about this. I cannot seem to even start orbot if another VPN is running. So apps that have proxy settings still can't use it.

Well, I meant making direct client to client connections via onion addresses, similar to cwtch, but I realize now, that would bring on all the other challenges of serverless chat (I.e. messages can only be delivered when all parties are online). So... just ignore me 😅
Anyone on #android know how to set Orbit to TOR route traffic for a few apps, then a VPN service for all other traffic?
I prefer to use TOR when possible, but it breaks some services, so I can't use it for all the traffic on my phone. When I'm not using TOR, I need to use a VPN, because sharing my real IP address with the world is just dumb. On #linux this is easy. On Android, I'm not sure if/how this can be done.
