I meant ANY app in the universe.
I know this is technically possible on Nostr, it's built for that, that's why I'm asking 😉
A "visual media"-first community app is something I'm very curious about.
The community aspect (around a certain type / style of art) can solve a lot of these issues from the get go.
Why doesn't reddit let you post in multiple communities at once?
They must have a reason, right?

Is there any app right now:
- that lets you share 1 post with several communities
- where the members of those communities can hang out and meet each other in the reply section?
#communities #groupchats
Indeed!
Where do you even draw the line (pun intended) between "generated" or not?
Hear hear!

💯 I need to talk some more with nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj about the "Chat meets Forum" aspect of communities that keeps getting overlooked.
Most current solutions:
- either act like they can blend them together in one feed (Thinking: it's the same people in the end, right?)
- or they create two entirely different tools for each aspect (not realizing the same group of people almost always needs both)
Why? What would be the limit? (technically)
Why not start from what's most scarce and in need of moderation 👉 Chat
Let's say I care about "HAM radios".
1. I join a group chat
2. I discover it has a FORUM too and is not just a chat
3. Then, I discover:
- it has shared docs (that I open/use from the same app)
- the people in that group are hanging out in Nests every wednesday (that I open/use from the same app)
- I can see the podcasts, movies, recipes, ... these people valued (and open/use all these form the same app)
- some forum posts are simultaneously posted in other groups and I meet a bunch new folks that care about a related subject
- ...
Yup, current model clearly doesn't work.
My bet is on using Group Chats as a way to get there.
Incorporate forums into chats and you have a dream product.
Where can I see trending zaps? 😆
1. It's freaking easy to onboard people to a specific group. They don't have to care who else is on tHe NeTwOrK and if they can find Beyoncé or Jordan Peterson. They literally come for the group and by defintion everyone is there already. If they happen to also find some other cool content, profiles and tools, that's great.
2. Groups mirror real life a lot more then tHe pUbLiC sQuArE ever can. They also have a much better overlay with the relay architecture.
3. Nostr events are a bit like real life events. You don't always invite whoever wants to come, infact that's the exception, not the rule.
4. New people have helpers to talk to. In a chat setting, not in an intimidating public feed.
5. It's easier to show case interoperable features and apps in a group setting.
Group chats
Are you genuinely curious though?
Because stating it like that will rarely invite nuance 😅.
The timeline for my current nsec for sure isn't longer though 😹
One level deep, still trending: nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqmjxss3dld622uu8q25gywum9qtg4w4cv4064jmg20xsac2aam5nqyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qpq03axpmlsyux5t9taep3lprcznjq8aytd2w0m4xssch72ka87qg2s4es5a5
I never see GM follow up convo's.
