Nostr just needs to excel in Communities + Group Chats.
From that lens, this problem doesn't exist.
What's the case against just using Private Relays for Private Stuff?
I get that π .
Personally love it though. And...
This is for an app that has a chat UI as it's home screen and let's you jump right back into these conversations from there. In that flow it's beautiful π (will post soon!).
Optimizing UX for actual in-thread conversation:
1. Open fascinating post (or any other content type)
2. Pick which conversation to join
3. You entered the chat

Got too excited about nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h to not check if the design system I'm working on actually works in amber / live paper.

Been thinking along the same lines.
What I like is that both are true.
Bitcoin incentives the use of godly amounts of energy BUT also enables ecash, which uses close to zero energy at the individual level.
Nostr needs bandwidth, computation etc like crazy BUT also enables efficiency at the individual level that centralised, but separate, silos cant.
Best resources on getting into the pole shifts + advanced technology + ancestors you talk about?
Need stuff that goes beyond Graham Hancock's work. Already started watching some Suspicious Observers this week.
Good point, maybe not best for a design talk now that I think about it πΉ
That's why I need those first to display like Posts,
so that they can be filtered for high signal in the first place.
Audio only, anyone can listen and request to join the convo.
Yup, I'm looking for the UI that allows for that kind of filtering while still being very enjoyable to read.
Imagine Jordan Peterson posting something.
First, you'd wanna see some high signal replies.
Then, you join a conversation that was started by one of them.
For a conversation need minimum two people π It starts at level 2 of the reply tree.
Hey nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac and nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q, I'd love to have a call with you both (and any other designers that are interested) to discuss some social graph stuff I've been working on lately.
I think it's important, especially when it comes to human dynamics, to start with the experience and design and then build backwards, as opposed to creating some kind of artificial trust score and then "making it pretty on the UI".
So, I'd love to learn from you.
Always open for a nostr:npub1us9uc0sjjg0vyvh7vefgu2a96hx5up5gujl6pqays65hlk4de6hsnwq4g0 on this π
That said it's great to see this!

Also:
1. You cannot do 𧡠threads if you turn the reply section into a chat from level 1.
2. You set "chronological" as the only filter option for the reply section, since it's inherent to the Chat UI.
Damus Labs has been running a wild experiment for Purple TestFlight and we want to hear what you think! What if threads were more like chats? Itβs wild, itβs crazy, it might be a horrible idea, but you know you want to try it!
Experience it soon with http://damus.io/purple π
I'd only start displaying the Chat bubbles beyond the first level of replies:
Very hard to filter for signal otherwise.
