Nostr just needs to excel in Communities + Group Chats.

From that lens, this problem doesn't exist.

What's the case against just using Private Relays for Private Stuff?

I get that πŸ˜• .

Personally love it though. And...

This is for an app that has a chat UI as it's home screen and let's you jump right back into these conversations from there. In that flow it's beautiful 😍 (will post soon!).

Got too excited about nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h to not check if the design system I'm working on actually works in amber / live paper.

The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya is a good one for the stuff about advanced technology hidden in many ancient stories, once you read it you can't unsee the mentions of what are clearly spacecraft or at least advanced air transport devices, and the pale skin, the strange abilities like telepathy and teleportation

in general there is several apocrypha books worth reading for a broader picture of especially the contents of Genesis and Exodus, The Book of Jasher, The Book of Jubilees, The Book of Enoch

Plato's Critias describes Atlantis, an ancient, fantastically advanced civilisation that was located in the general area of north africa

Ben from Suspicious Observers will also drop stuff constantly about the science of the disaster cycles, primarily it's based on a rotating magnetic field that induces a spiral wave across the galaxy that flips every 12000 years

this is the origin of the hindu notion of Yugas or ages - and in the Vishnu Purana it mentions an alignment of jupiter, moon and sun in the last 1/3rd of the sign of cancer which falls on the 25th of June next year as "the end of the krita age"

i'm only just starting to really dig into it myself, i had some background of it years ago, but yes, i believe that we are going to see it all unfold in the next 20-30 years... the Con has been planning its 2020/2030 thing for over 100 years and they knew about this stuff, but thankfully not how to build the weapons or the spacecraft!

Awesome thanks sir!

Been thinking along the same lines.

What I like is that both are true.

Bitcoin incentives the use of godly amounts of energy BUT also enables ecash, which uses close to zero energy at the individual level.

Nostr needs bandwidth, computation etc like crazy BUT also enables efficiency at the individual level that centralised, but separate, silos cant.

anyone who thinks that we aren't headed for a financial disaster on the level of the Great Depression is just being stupid

anyone who thinks that the catastrophes that have recurred like clockwork every 12000 and 6000 years are not going to happen again is just being stupid, and double stupid if they don't realise that it could actually be extinction for our species if it happens worse than the one ~75000 years ago

anyone who thinks that in 200,000 years as a species humans have not had more advanced technology than we have now is also just stupid

i don't know for sure if those ancestors who jumped out of the gravity well are interested in us at all, but there is good reason to believe they will be, and if they mastered their minds as the old books seem to indicate, they wouldn't have allowed it to be written down that they would come back at some point, most logically at the point of catastrophe, just like the last time they warned Noah and such warnings can be found in the old stories of many other cultures, north and south american, in asia, and in africa

but even so, with all this in mind, building a lifestyle and a legacy of being prepared to survive such events, both the man made and the ones created by the astrophysics of our universe and our galaxy, best to be ready to adapt when the signs of disaster are clear

the world is not going to be the same at all in 20 years time, there is going to be some epic disasters coming... the 6 millennia of relative calm are about to be interrupted just as the 50 years of petrodollar are about to run out

it is a 49 year cycle and we are past the end of the current one that started in 1971

Best resources on getting into the pole shifts + advanced technology + ancestors you talk about?

Need stuff that goes beyond Graham Hancock's work. Already started watching some Suspicious Observers this week.

Good point, maybe not best for a design talk now that I think about it 😹

Audio only, anyone can listen and request to join the convo.

Yup, I'm looking for the UI that allows for that kind of filtering while still being very enjoyable to read.

Imagine Jordan Peterson posting something.

First, you'd wanna see some high signal replies.

Then, you join a conversation that was started by one of them.

For a conversation need minimum two people πŸ‘‰ It starts at level 2 of the reply tree.

Hey nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac and nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q, I'd love to have a call with you both (and any other designers that are interested) to discuss some social graph stuff I've been working on lately.

I think it's important, especially when it comes to human dynamics, to start with the experience and design and then build backwards, as opposed to creating some kind of artificial trust score and then "making it pretty on the UI".

So, I'd love to learn from you.

Also:

1. You cannot do 🧡 threads if you turn the reply section into a chat from level 1.

2. You set "chronological" as the only filter option for the reply section, since it's inherent to the Chat UI.
