Well even though I'm right in the urban core of Seattle I have container gardens out back. The area used to be a parking lot but could not hold the space of cars so I got on the HOA board and made a garden. I also have chameleons, a dog, lots of bird feeders, birdhouses, and a bird bath. Would love to get rabbits and bees but don't think my neighbors would like that.

Hello there. I'm new here and do live in the city but would love to become a homesteader one day.

Here is my kidney/liver detox juice recipe.

1. Boil 1 bunch of fresh parsley in filtered water for 7 minutes, let sit overnight.

2. Wash 4 lemons with baking soda. Strain parsley and add juice to a pitcher.

3. Juice lemons and add to pitcher.

4. Add real maple syrup to the pitcher to taste and a bit of gray salt.

3. Boil the lemon peels in a saucepan along with some frozen or fresh berries and cinnamon. Add local honey to taste. Let cool and add to pitcher.

4. If desired add seltzer water and any dissolvable vitamins you'd like such as zinc and magnesium.

Enjoy on ice, one cup each morning before breakfast. Check to see if your liver enzyme and creatinine levels improve at your next blood test if they were abnormal before.
