I thought he was going to speak volumes about tricks like... Ctrl+Backspace to delete the entire word if you make a typo and re-type it (yes... It's MUCH faster to just delete the entire word than to delete up to your mistake and get back from there) or about using EMACS style line navigation (Ctrl+e go to end, Ctrl+a go to beginning, alt+b/alt+f go back/forward a word, etc...) but no... Text expansion... =/
Yeah, text expansion is cool but... Take it from a Dvorak/keyboard junkie guy...
Text navigation is king. Master it and you will type way WAY faster than just text-expanding or using Dvorak/Colemak! 😊
