I recently started a Substack newsletter and I've been brainstorming ways to bootstrap my subscriber list. I don't use social media outside of Nostr, and I'd like to keep it that way.
I have a theory that Nostr+zaps could open up a different type of "advertising" model. Typically with paid ads, you're paying the centralized social media company to show your content to a bunch of people in hopes that they'll view it. Why not pay the viewers directly and cut out the middleman? That way they're getting some value regardless whether they like your product or not, and it's just a more elegant system overall.
So I'm going to run an experiment myself and see how this works. I recently wrote an article about Bitcoin and money inspired by a comment @Odell made on a recent Citadel Dispatch episode. If you're interested in the philosophy of money and banking, you might enjoy it.
I'm going to link the article below. It's about a 20 minute read. So the first 10 people who read the article and leave a thoughtful response, commentary, or criticism as a reply to this note will get zapped 15,000 sats each. I think that's fair for 20 minutes of your time. After the first ten replies, I'll zap each additional reader 1,500 sats as long as my funds hold out.

This project has always been a free contribution to the #bitcoin community, and publishing it under an open-source license is my way of proving that to potential contributors.

This repo will allow anyone to contribute! Whether you want to add a new link to the website, support a new language, or something else entirely, you'll be able to do that with this repo.
THE FIRST PROJECT: LANGUAGES
Soon, I'll migrate all of the content that currently lives on bitcoin[.]rocks to bitcoin[.]rocks/en since the content is written in English.
That will allow anyone to translate the content into a new language and submit it in a pull request. For example, Polish content will live at bitcoin[.]rocks/pl
You'll be automatically redirected depending on your browser language.
Over time, the content on /en could be totally different than /pl since links to local articles and stories may be more impactful.
Ultimately, the goal is to enable nostr:npub18kpw3akvdsyk239lx0jgwksr74sq4nlha3r8u9g2rnrhztfpfhysy469c4 to be a "first link" to share with people who ask you about bitcoin — not just those that speak English.

Yes... We need an organized, probably state backed initiative to overthrow Hamas from Gaza government and replace it by the Palestinian Authority.
If you say that: "The people from Gaza elected Hamas so Hamas rule is legal and legitimate" you are basically saying that Gaza people is conivent with Hamas and then... IMHO should be considered as hostile enemies as Hamas it self and receive the exact same treatment.
Well mate... What would you expect from a community that spent 90% or more of all the construction hardware and supplies that they had building tunnels to cowardly attack the extremely well armed, no bullshit, neighboring country?
And the proof that Israel was too soft during the past decades is the 7 of October hostile invasion.
Because this is what it was... It wasn't an "terrorist attack"... It was a full blown military land invasion from a hostile enemy.
Hamas terrorists are animals, and should be out down as such.
