I can see the invoice. Don't know how to tell if you received any.

Huzzah! Was never able to claim my name with email addresses but have got a couple lightning wallets now by being early!

Gotta set up a wallet.. was going to zap ya

It's a little unusual posting personal content when most of my small amount of followers (let's follow each other!) are #plebs or the #TSP community mainly. I have a different account for NOSTR/BTC/Freedom discussions. Although those topics are a great way to make friends IRL as well.

But my hope is my IRL friends will eventually migrate over and find me, so keep this page to posts about my life and try to keep it positive.

Spent a smallish amount of $ to get 5 years newer and 73k less miles with a newer (2009 to now a 2014) Sonata. Last one was very reliable. IMO there is a value sweet spot in used cars just past 100k miles

You should set up a wallet so we can zap you some Sats.

Unbothered, moisturized, happy, stacking and hodling.

And with this the final nail goes into the coffins of shit coins like Algorand and Cardano. Softwar by Jason Lowery connected the last dot on BTC Dominance for me.

I feel dumb for not getting there on my own. I have said forever that what backs bitcoin is security. DUH! Once you understand that security is the point, security of money, security of data, there is no difference. Data is money and money is data. Matter is energy and energy is matter. (hold up, some of y'all ain't ready for that yet 😀 )

Anyway if you look at the entire "crypto" space though a lens of security, #bitcoin is the only thing left standing. When you want security, do you want okay security, decent security, half ass security?

No you want the best.

The only reason people settle for second best in security is lack of access or the cost. Well security via Bitcoin is open to all and it is CHEAP, because you pay for it only when you secure something one time, then you never pay again unless you transfer ownership of it.

So if you are going to secure a land title, a deed, a car title, a contract, your will, your personal data, corporate data, etc. why would you use any security other than the BEST security you can get.

And nothing man has ever built is more secure than Bitcoin because it imposes a physical cost in the virtual world. When you view it this way, the entire "slow" and scaling problem goes away. They are not flaws in bitcoin they are features.

The slow and hard parts of the blockchain make trying to hack the network so costly that you just can't afford to attack it. It is like a shied that makes you impossible to harm but the harder an enemy hits you the more they hurt themselves.

POS networks can't do this, any POW network that isn't bitcoin simply isn't as secure. There is no place for 2nd place. The highest hash rate other than BTC is LTC. LTC has a hash rate of 770 TH/s, BTC's hash rate is 345 EH/s.

The magnitude is such that to quote Ricky Bobbie, "If you're not first you're last".

Although this further solidifies btc won't die. It also raises the question to me if BTC can really be global money for everyone. If EVERY Eth use case migrates to BTC most of the world won't be able to afford to even use LN in a non custodial fashion (if onchain fees 10-100x because 1 sat transactions become the bulk of every block) because opening and closing channels will be for the rich. IMO. Would love to hear why that wouldn't be the case as I'm no expert.

That is awesome! Congrats. I scooped up a couple LN addresses with my name. If LN goes mainstream it will be hard to get your name as an address. Pretty much every first name is taken on every email client.

Is there a good place to converse about Fedimint? I've heard some podcasts and have a vague understanding of the theory but would like to see it work and see the options. Sadly I Loathe telegram..

That's cool. I imagine it could double as a heater at the same time.

Im at same point. I think next thing is to connect your wallet and use your node next time you transact. Ive been lazy and mainly use lightning. Kinda waiting for the ordinal craze to slow a little (fees) to experiment just sending from wallet to wallet for no reason using my node.

Alright frenz, how about some #pillow talk. I just got one of those #Japanese Buckwheat pilows to try out. So far I think I might like it better.

Cons: more expensive (paid $45 for mine), has faint (maybe a con?) buckwheat smell.

Pros: can add or subtract hulls to adjust firmsness. Stays to shape you make it pretty well and offers good support..my favorite part.

Anyone else use these??

Need to mow my lawn but at least it's pretty 😅 #grownostr #spring #bees

Our city planning department discusses why they should ban crypto mining businesses! There was a proposal for a multi-megawatt crypto mining center. Video of the city planning council discussion:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFE0X3dGMn4

In a city where there is electrical infrastructure for an aluminum plant that is long shut down. The city planning basically scoffed at allowing a business that wasn't going to bring jobs or sales tax on sales and infrastructure buildout.

#grownostr #longview #bitcoin #mining

That's sad. It would've brought some jobs. There is no logical reason to ban it.

Anyone have a link to stream the #nfl draft???
