Thanks for the mention on your show. Sorry for any confusion in my messaging, when I started using Nostr, I made several identities that use the same wallet and didn't realise that sometimes they block each other out! I am sorting that out now! 😉 I may have also been a bit confused by someone who had reached out to me a month earlier but had deleted their identity by the time I saw their message, so minutes later when I saw my tune had been included in your podcast, I made an assumption that it had been you! So some of those who got pardoned, might have to give evidence at the Senate or Congress etc. because they no longer have access to the 4th Amendment because of the pardon, and then find that the pardon isn't actually legal and they will have to go to jail because of their evidence? I think a lot of our eyes were opened as to how fast our governments managed to go totalitarian on us because our fellow citizens trusted the science that the governments were pushing simultaneously around the world. That breaking of the trust is going to have major implications going forward particularly if they try to force Digital Identity and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as a precursor to Social Credit Scores and Carbon Credits / Allowances etc. We have let Governments take over too much of our lives already and it is scary how some of our fellow citizens would bend the knee even further...

The UBI issue is that giving people to sit on their asses and get money to exist isn't good for society in the long run even if you assume the system is perfectly run and not abused by any party. Given that humans will abuse any system and oppression is the usual result of abuse, society should think long and hard before exploring this space - but governments and the powerful don't like having an open and honest conversation with their people, ruling is easier when they can't talk back...
Given also that any UBI would have to be tied to an individual's identity, we can see why so many governments around the world are now pushing for a Digital Identity for their people whilst also pushing for Central Bank Digital Currencies which will be tied in with them. When all money is tied to your identity and tracked throughout the economy, the results are potentially dystopian even if you don't include a Social Credit Score or Carbon Allowance....
