There has been a huge antagonistic shift in that direction, at least here in the Bay Area, motivated by Elon's purchase of Twitter. It has been pretty disappointing.
I've been pretty lucky to have invested most of my networking and interests in places that are not corporate tech, but had I not I could easily imagine myself getting pretty disillusioned.
The big problem in tech is when they're folks with large audiences and significant industrial reputation. It's not as easy when it's the folks responsible for hiring and investing.
One of the consequences of racism in tech is having to use anonymous identities online in order to access opportunity more fairly.
One of the sad side effects of anti-racist work is having to deal with the visceral reactions and accusations that I am the hateful or “woke” for having to hold racist people accountable to a degree, which terrifies them in a very self-sabotaging way.
There really is no place for hate and racism, it is a source of great shame.
Not all nostr devs deserve to be supported or encouraged, like this trash can of a person.

Seems like general bugs with relays. #LearnWithNostr is currently completely gone on primal and partially gone with nostter. Oh well 🥲 that’s the startup life
I ended up switching people’s profile to nostter and letting folks connect with me on Primal. I figured it would be a good way to introduce folks to more options rather than centralizing, which makes folks feel think nostr is a twitter clone.
Any lack of consistency will end up confusing folks and then they end up giving up forever lol

Missing UX for onboarding
I gamed the tiktok algorithm to get 100,000 followers and then I started selling a $1 course to create scholarships but it failed because people literally want to be grifted and hate you for trying to do the right thing....... so now I'm on nostr and use the edtech platform to introduce people to a better internet.
~100-200 followers on nostr, but it feels better because it feels like the internet instead of constant promotions & commercials
