Is nostr really 600 DAU?

A bitter pill for many to swallow is that Republicans will continue to gain popularity.
It is an uphill battle for Democrats to regain voter confidence. No progress will be made until interparty corruption is diminished or removed.
The Americans parties are private institutions connected to the media organizations. At times this means the party’s interest overcomes the voter’s interest.
The only option Democrats have is to stop voting for Democrats until their bottom line is at risk.
Anyone that follows US politics understands that the Democrats haven’t had a real primary since 2015. So by 2028, that’s 13 potential years without a real primary.
Supporting the Democratic Party is supporting establishment corruption. Republicans will continue to win elections until challengers find the courage to reform the party to genuinely represent voter interest. The corruption is so egregious that you’ll have Democrats lose members like Tulsi Gabbard for criticizing corruption.
The future of the DNC should look like Andrew Yang and AOC.
White developers tend to be the most likely to unfollow (usually most easily annoyed by discussions of equity)
Natural consequences create natural outcomes.
A lot of life is governed by who you know. This results in a lot of boredom for most people.
#Hellthread party bringing on this Virtual VHS Epic track 🔥🎶💃🏻

Some people hate hellthreads but there's actually something kinda charming about them. My notifications are usually empty because I post disconnected thoughts about different things with no real direction but having a little party in my notifications cause there's other people doing random stuff is reminiscent of my time spent in World of Warcraft lol
Democrats will to continue to lose Latino voters in 2026 and these “representatives” online will continue to be shocked, appalled and disappointed by the change that is happening.
These folks do not engage in reality, they engage with algorithms.
You won’t really ever see Latino influencers engage with border patrol, ICE, or White Americans because their position is fundamentally unserious and cannot withstand scrutiny.
They are entertainers.
For years, Charlie has presented himself at the heart of political change, regardless of popularity, and actively debated for his position.
This is not true of Latino voters for a very clear reason.
One of the reason why someone like Charlie Kirk has more influence over Latino votes than Latino influencers is because, despite disagreeing with Charlie, his politics is not rooted in cowardice.
I remember when I first joined nostr, I commented how it felt like old school world of warcraft. I spend a lot of time on short-form social media apps because that's where my target audience is, but now I know why I made that comparison.
Many games returned to classical versions because the first principles of many of those MMORPGs were good, but much of those realms depended on social energy and interactivity. They were worlds you could do things in, but with other people.
Over time, gamers aged and needs changed. So they added more tools to make it more welcoming for busy players, but this eventually took away from the hard-earned interactivity of previous eras. You could just press a button to queue up with others using matchmaking systems and things of that sort.
Social media experienced this with recommended content and feeds. People still interact, but in a way where others aren't needed, or are taken for granted.
People have been saying AI will replace software engineers for 2 years now.
So in 2 years, if it doesn’t happen, it’ll be 4 years that folks have been promoting fear and uncertainty.
And by that 4 years, it’ll be 7 years that many folks found the motivation to look for remote jobs but never acted on it.
The rest of the thread covers exactly this :)
You can have all the tools in the world, but it serves you no good until you decide to serve yourself and take advantage of opportunities presented to you.
That’s why I teach coding with AI. It’s the heart of change in modern times.
Now AI does speed up the process of learning. But education isn’t just the distribution of information.
Education is uncomfortable, and it’s the willingness to be a vulnerable beginner ready to embark on a journey that will create change.
