im a little more south :')i just left living in Lake Merrit, Oakland (California)

Officially moved to my motherland of rural Mexico. Time to stack sats for real 😂

Those bot accounts that follow you every day are worse than hellthreads lol

Renting in rural Mexico is interesting.

It’s a cash heavy and remittance society so most people value the value of the work/construction of their home, upwards $100,000+ but pay very little in property tax and rent for very little ($100-$250/mo).

The rent is seen as a way to offset the cost of construction while folks live elsewhere like the US or cultivate farms while workers typically get paid roughly $500 a month.

The economy in rural Mexico is obviously different than urban cities centers but drastically different than US suburbia.

Life got kinda crazy after colonizing and plundering two continents, melting down empires in world wars with flying machines and dropping world ending bombs

Who are you people

ChatGPT, now that I’m moving to Mexico and you can remember all of our conversations, tell me 10 blindspots I need to work on.

It’s kinda funny taking off the American lens from things now that I’m preparing my migration back to Mexico. There is an insane amount of noise in every direction. It’s pretty annoying that it’s like that

The way the Europe Union regulates American technology reminds me a lot of why Americans went to war with Britain

Nostr needs more focus on UX.

If we’re not obsessed on a user’s experience, what the fuck are we doing besides patting ourselves on the back?

Also people here who were silently disapproving of me: go to hell, I broke out of this bullshit game without a single penny of outside investment. I paid in blood, sweat and tears.

Gonna be moving to Mexico to drastically reduce cost of living. Tried to do the right thing but tbh the algorithms pretty much one-shot people so I raised the fuuuuuuck out of my prices and I’m just gonna treat algorithm apps the way I treat corporate American offices.

It’s a motion toward freedom, and I understand nostr a lot more. I want to build cool shit, help other people build cool shit, and use the internet to interact instead of to engage.

There’s a good reason that influencers like Ian Carrol and Naval don’t stay on nostr for long. These are experiences that depend on interactions rather than engagement. Subtle difference but one that changes everything.
