In each case, we found that your lightning address server did not respond correctly. (The failure point was when we did a GET request to your specified callback URL: https://getalby.com/lnurlp/lingeringsunset88/callback ). Your server did not produce an invoice, thus the zap failed. The error we got was "Recipient wallet error. Please contact the recipient.". You might want to look into using a cloud-based Lightning node which is optimized for Nostr zaps, to get your zaps working.

You have to switch your thinking, things can work the other way around on Nostr. Ive have yet to nail down the right words/metaphore, but il take a swing.
On a platform, they determine the online reality; everything that passes their gates is now part of that world, and in second instance you can chose what to actively ignore.
Here, its the other way around; you determine your online reality; the people you follow, the relays you use etc. and in second instance you can decide to broaden your horizon.
The difference is in the fact that a Nostr client is this 'active' thing facing the chaos, instead of a 'passive' interface for a central (supposed) order.
Not saying all current clients totally nail this, and that its easy and without problems, risks or whatever. But on Nostr the default is that everything is fake, everything is spam, everyone is a bot and its all noise; but you actually equiped to navigate the mess.
Perhaps but finally it is not sexy for the ones who want to communicate.

The email have been spam because his usage was enough to be financially interesting for spammer.
I am not sure newbies here would be happy to have experience with spam bots directly without any advises or warn before.

how do i find this quality on nostr, as a newbie its a lot of nothing or bitcoin slop but I know i’m doing it wrong because i find some good shit here and there
There's no algorithm so you have to do all the work yourself to find interesting people to follow.
It takes time. Following hashtags of topics you're interested in helps. The global feed is mostly full of shit but you do sometimes find some gems to follow.
It does get better with time and effort. It gets way better than the algorithmic feeds from for-profit social media companies.

nostr is still quick hit info but it’s not someone else’s interests driving my experience. so it makes sense that with that freedom/control I would need to put in some effort to curate my feed.
I couldn't agree more. Mass adoption is high time preference thinking based on the same fallacies that gave us hyperscale and hyperreality. I don't want more of that slop, I want a medium that promotes human freedom, agency, and purpose.
Mass adoption is attachment to outcome, dependent on others doing something. Just enjoying what is, will ever be independent of that.
