I really appreciate this response. Clear, concise, and well thought out. I too detest the 5.56 and the 9mm, I do think an AR10 is the correct choice for me. Those 6.5 mm bullets sure have some amazing coefficients don’t they? With my eyes though, sometimes I think an 1895 repeater in 45-70 with a 4x scope would be the better answer for this old man….lol.

Sure, we can agree to disagree. No problem. Pura vida.

Sure, but you and I still would have been hyena food in Olduvai.

Both? Means to an end. It was never about the virus IMO.

Pigeon toed, me too. Not so good for escaping predators in the wild. 😁

Sure, for a handgun…..probably .45 ACP is the best caliber too.

I’ve had a house guest for a few days. I was out sectioning apples for fermentation to feed the pigs with my pocketknife. He asked, why not just smash the apples with that excavator over there? It would be a lot faster. I thought about it, and the answer came slowly, like a hand sectioned apple.

Because if I do that I won’t be sitting here with no shirt on, feeling the early morning sun on my skin, using a knife I adore with hand motions so engrained that I can contemplate anything that comes to mind. Because fast and efficient, while sometimes necessary, is less fulfilling than this slow pursuit of functional perfection, as a mistake will leave a nasty cut on my thumb. Because this circumstance, in this moment makes me happy.

If you ever doubt that there are several hidden agendas surrounding the vaccines related to COVID, and likely other vaccines, because why wouldn’t there be now, please take the time to watch this:

Vaccines for some pathogens can be safe and effective, but trusting large pharmaceutical firms with public private partnerships is now impossible. I don’t know what the answer is, particularly for the parents of young children, but knowing the risk is at least half the battle.

Thank you!

the circumstances need to be right though.

developmental disorders mean that there a certain lack of flexibility. the word kind of has to adapt a bit for us to perform the best.

call me a diva or such. i'm not ASKING you to do it.

just saying that if you do want some very good work performed, here are the conditions.

Yep, I can relate to this 💯 percent.

If we know that someone MIGHT have ADHD why dont we simply give them treatment and then see what happens? I just don't see a good reason to be gatekeepy other than you want to feel special or something

I think sometimes it is that simple, and sometimes it is much more complex, the individual knows better than anyone what works for them and what doesn’t. ND is a spectrum, nobody is completely free from unique mental characteristics, and some are dysfunctional. The entourage of combined “mental illness” make humans unique, and talented in some ways, dysfunctional in others. My experience with autistic spectra is that in some ways it is a superpower, and in others a serious liability. For me, management is the key.

nostr:npub14eng8plhflea40cu3lafnw6nwkxsp5te2v7hzy74lz6a9mjhpaks0wm4rw my story is that if i deny the diagnosis and adopt an ambitious attitude, i crash.

That certainly seems to indicate an accurate diagnosis. I have to curate my reality carefully, I am on the autistic spectrum and get overwhelmed with chaotic surroundings very quickly. I’ve had a successful series of careers in my life, but not the typical suite of options because of my liabilities. I think it’s important to embrace who you are, and do what you can.

I think it is difficult to distinguish between those who actually are struggling with ND, and those who use ND as a reason to not work because they don’t want to work. Same with disability, but ND is even easier to spoof. Fibromyalgia! I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, and some people do suffer, but probably not the number of people who claim it.

I watched “Still”, the documentary about Michael J. Fox. What an amazing family. It’s a touching story, worth the time to watch.

I believe the parent company is Scandinavian, Norwegian if memory serves, but perhaps. It’s kind of a pick your spies scenario, Tor browser probably is the best of the bunch, but performance requires security trade-offs.

We’re located in the middle of the west coast, I would be willing to work with you, we won’t have any goats freshened until spring. I dried them up because they are all expecting kids, and I don’t want to tax their bodies with double production duties!

Squatting as opposed to sitting or laying implies a ready ability to leave at a moment’s notice. That about says it all for me, rights? Nah man, you’re squatting on property that isn’t yours. It’s occupation without notification or permission.
