Ohh, NIP32 seems more versatile than I thought. Can be used to tag/categorize content as well as rate and review?

So it can be used by users to apply to other content (in the latter case) or by content creators to apply to their own notes and content (former case)?

I joined Nostr the first week of February. I remember because it was days after my bestie kidnapped me for my birthday and had an anarchist festival in Slab City. I get back home, see Snowden taking about uncensorable decentralized social media which was exactly what I was looking for for quite a while at the point and I joined right then. I see this lovely community and the protocol that ran it. Then I start learning from the ground up about Bitcoin, something I wanted to get into since college. I wanted to mine but didn't know how/was worried about electricity cost. I wanted to buy in 2012, I wanted to buy every year but would look and think "1 coin is 5k but I need to pay this bill,l" or I need this equipment for filming. I didn't even know you could buy less than a whole coin at a time. I thought it was all just past me. Number keeps going up. With my art I thought maybe nfts were the only way to get in at that point, and that digital proof of ownership could work well selling art pieces. Then people weren't interested in anything more than shit art and all those ended up being scams🤷🏽 I just didn't want to associate. But then on Nostr I'm surrounded by people that send 21 sats when I say "lol" and upwards of 1k at the least and much much higher when I post things of actual value.

I started with 0bitcoin in Feb. After a few months of helpful plebs I had a number where I was like wow... This is what I wanted years ago.

Now at this point, I've gotten paid for an actual job via Bitcoin, 3 months in a row I've stacked on my own with robosats, and number slowly ticks up because I still post long philosophical ideas and movie breakdowns, as well as "lol"

So again. Keep talking about Bitcoin. Because you saved me. I wanted to be saved but didn't know it was still possible. 🤷🏽

Question: if you only send a note to a specific few relays, does that mean other relays will never seen that note?

My thinking is someone could boost/repost on their own relay and then those relays get the original note too

It's kind of nice after all these years to finally see people talk about BTC in terms of Sats, and things being denominated in Sats as much and as often as it is around here.

"Heres 42069 sats" sounds a lot funner than "Here's 0.0042069 btc"

Delta blocked me from buying a flight in my own name with my own credit card. Support agent said their system suspected my account was compromised and they need me to upload my ID to prove it's me. Of course the review process will take an indeterminate period of time.

The only reason I can imagine this happening is because I use a VPN.

Had a similar issue with a bank. Sent a few transfers (to buy bitcoin funny enough). Next thing I know everything frozen. I call the bank, they can't do anything until I speak to fraud department, where they ask me a thousand questions about myself, past transactions and the recent transactions sent to "people i had not been in contact with before".

After all that it clicked and we realized it's all because I logged on through a VPN, even if I was on a local server at the time and not connecting from across the world or whatever.

Same bank that makes me go through this didn't use 2FA at ALL until a few years ago.

Pain in the ass.
