I don't see how this is even debatable but ok

Brainlets are those who cannot differentiate between saving long term and transacting. They think they have to use a hammer for every job. They don't realize they can use what is best for the task.

If ten transactions on Bitcoin costs me $20 and on Monero costs me less than 3 cents which is a better medium of exchange? What about one that has real world fungibility? What about strong default privacy that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg and a day of my time for weaker privacy via obfuscation?

Auditability concerns? Don't hold a lot or don't hold for a long time.

They just barely open sourced after being around for years. Embarrassing for "Bitcoin" project. Paul's tweet probably played some part in this 😂

https://blog.liquid.net/expanding-transparency-the-liquid-networks-functionary-code-is-now-open-source/

"Quick! Switch to a permissioned network that only hides amounts, and was barely open sourced last week! It's ok that the transaction graph is completely visible!"

Read the article because you have no idea how Monero works based on your reaction. The bug only increased probability picking our the true spend (sender privacy only). Monero at its worst is still better than Liquid at it's best any day. Liquid also has virtually no anon set.

Monero with bug:

Maybe Alice sent $[?] to [?]

Liquid without any bugs:

Alice sent $[?] to Bob

The force closed channels is a Lightning issue overall, not specific to any wallet, but maybe it happens less often on some than others not sure

You ever try Phoenix? Zeus is coming out with their own LSP soon too.

Ive never really used Breez. Explain please?

Yes, I agree with you on that for sure

But the more friction introduced. the higher the barrier. meaning no one will ideally use them that way. Has to be simple and by default as much as possible. Has to just work that way out of the box.

1. Your compeletley visible transactions can be correalated with real world data to discover who you are. That's why anonymity AND privacy both matter.

2. Then build an ASIC for it and take all that money.

3. You audit the same way on Monero as Bitcoin. You run a node and pay no mind. A transparent blockchain doesn't help you if you arent actually taking advantage of it. Every ten minutes you are making sure all input = all outputs? Please. You pay zero attention.

4. Monero is FOSS. Anyone is free to leave or join or make their own network. Everyone is voluntarily choosing to use the latest fork because they value the upgrades. Aren't you guys about free markets?

Imagine the real world worked like that. Everyone was forced to be compatible with old tech like CD players. Na, no one is obligated to accomodate you.

The birthplace of Bitcoin, Darknet Markets, would disagree with you.
