Please watch this short video. We’re staying at a house one minute walking distance from this scenic park. We saw people practicing fire the upcoming dragon boat races. My wife grew up a 5 minute scooter ride away from here.

Arrived at the place I’m staying in Taiwan. After using the bathroom we set out to get some late night snacks. This dog followed us to the fried chicken place. Apparently he lives at the fire station down the road but he came to get some free food. His name is 小白 which translates to Little White or Whitey. 🤣

We ordered three 雞排 (chicken steaks?) and an order of popcorn chicken. It was all for about US$9.

GM. Just boarded my first flight. We have a layover in San Francisco before heading on to Taiwan. I only had 3 hours sleep so I look more haggard than usual.

It could be either we incarcerate way too many people, we have too many laws, or other countries are full of criminals running wild, or a combination of the three.

Taiwan needs to develop some kind of defense against this. It seems pretty stupid that civilians aren’t allowed to own firearms when the PRC constantly threatens to attack.

GM. In two days I’ll be in a plane on my way to Taiwan. I’ll be there for a little over three weeks with a 5 day trip to South Korea. We’ll be visiting my wife’s family in Taiwan. I have many adult nieces and nephews I’ve known since they were babies and some of them now have their own babies. I feel old. We’re going to Seoul to see my eldest child, my daughter, who is teaching at an English language school there. We’ve never been to South Korea before so we are excited to go.
