Well, I still do both, but pulling the threads 🧵 on Spotify has really expanded the type of music and the spectrum of artists I listen too. It’s my number one app, by far.
It's so weird that the majority of people today have an algorithm suggesting what music they might like. This has always been the role or family/ friends/ peer group and is a social thing. Whether it used to be a vinyl party, a friend making a mix tape on cassette or listening to someone else's CD collection in their car. Something has been lost to the algo.
