I really dislike #AI ...

But as a (#math) #teacher and #IT guy I need to keep up to date and to remain constructive. Also, my students need to learn to use it cleverly, so I'd better do it with them.

Which AI engine/service is considered as the most reliable nowadays? Using them through a "#privacy fence" like #duckduckgo gives me only access to "mini" engines, which seem very poor...

I'm willing to pay a fee if the service is sustainable and of quality.

I'd like to subscribe to a #VPS to #selfhost my #email (including calendar and contacts with #caldav and #carddav), #mastodon instance and potentially #matrix.

I use a #Synology but I don't find the #docker setup convenient, and I don't find it suitable for for (what I consider) high availability services.

What would be your recommendations?
