it’s interesting why they did not add LoRa (long-range) devices support from the start. I have a Meshtastics installed on my Lilygo T3, and can reach nodes 30kms away. Maybe they will add it later on, but until then, #bitchat seems useless (at least for me).

I’m planning to learn implementing Nostr relays & clients from scratch 👊 in golang as I find rust/ c++ implementations a bit too complicated / hard to follow. And then start creating a decentralized reddit or hackernews alternative using Nostr with a custom React/Flutter apps and a dedicated Go-based relay!

Also I’m active LoRa-based Meshtastics user and after playing with low-level Nostr stuff I’m planning to start a project with a p2p/ network based on LoRa (long-range radio) and Nostr! (maybe by forking / making PR in #bitchat and adding LoRa devices support).

Why most default #relay on #iris shown as disconnected? #nostr #question. I've even added some additional ones found in `nostr-relays-list` GH repo but they are shown as disconnected as well 🤔
