I like the idea of first post sigs much more than length of post sigs. That way you can be sure your sig gets posted on at least your first post every time. If it's a message like "I'll be offline for a week" or something like that instead of a website link, you don't want it to be intermittent.

Yeah, every client handles it differently. Nostrgram, for example, has a "quote" button you can click. If you write something, it's a quote tweet. If you send it without writing anything, it's a boost.

Incredible! It wasn't that long ago that Canadian banks refused to send your money to exchanges too. And if you even whispered "bitcoin" you could have lost your accounts.

I 100% agree with this. Power to the free market but still, would rather not see images or gifs, blinking multi-coloured type, etc.

What do you think about an option in NostrGram for a configurable bit of content to put at the bottom of each of your notes (tagline)? For an example see the bottom of this note.
In the Bulletin/Message Boards that were used before social media became the go-to place, you could put a tagline below your messages. It can get spammy so it would have to be limited in size (and you would have to understand that if you made it spammy you'd probably get blocked/muted by a bunch of people). But in a free market world I also like the idea of you being able to link out to your website or just have a quote you love or something at the bottom of each message.

As a long time user of message boards (still use a bunch!) I think this is a great idea. But definitely keep it limited.
I feel you...I'm sure it must be utter hilarity but still not worth the brain cells it will kill.
I use it mostly to mark longer periods of time. For example how long I've known somebody or when a certain event occurred. I also use it to mark my fasts. I don't use it for things like baking brownies or dentist appointments.😂
